Self worth is not based on someone else’s opinion

In a world where we are constantly bombarded with external judgments and opinions, it's easy to lose sight of our intrinsic value. However, your self-worth is not defined by what others think of you. It comes from within, shaped by your beliefs, values, and how you see yourself.

1. You Are Unique:

Every person is unique, with their own set of talents, strengths, and perspectives. Your individuality is your greatest asset, and it cannot be measured by someone else's standards.

2. Opinions Are Subjective:

Remember, opinions are subjective and often influenced by personal biases and experiences. What one person values, another may not. Trying to please everyone is an impossible task and can lead to losing touch with your true self.

3. Inner Validation:

True self-worth comes from inner validation. It’s about recognizing your own value, embracing your imperfections, and understanding that you are enough just as you are. Self-acceptance is the foundation of self-worth.

4. Growth Mindset:

Embrace a growth mindset. Understand that making mistakes and facing criticism are parts of the journey. Use them as opportunities to learn and grow, rather than as measures of your worth.

5. Set Boundaries:

Protect your mental and emotional well-being by setting healthy boundaries. It’s okay to distance yourself from negative influences and to seek environments that uplift and support you.

6. Practice Self-Compassion:

Be kind to yourself. Treat yourself with the same compassion and understanding that you would offer to a friend. Acknowledge your efforts and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small they may seem.

7. Surround Yourself with Positivity:

Build a support system of people who appreciate you for who you are. Surround yourself with those who encourage your growth and happiness, and who respect and value you.

8. Focus on What You Can Control:

You cannot control how others perceive you, but you can control how you respond. Focus on what you can control—your actions, attitudes, and reactions—and let go of the need for external validation.


Your self-worth is a reflection of how you see yourself, not how others see you. Cultivate a strong sense of self, grounded in self-respect and self-love. When you truly understand and embrace your worth, no external opinion can diminish it. Remember, you are enough just as you are, and your value is inherent and undeniable.
